Everything but the wheel...
In our small group pottery classes you will have at your fingertips all the tuition and materials you need to learn and develop the main pottery hand-building techniques - pinching, coiling, slab building and sculpture. You will also learn how to decorate your pieces with dipping glazes, brush-on glazes, majolica, engobes, burnishing and more!
While our classes are suitable for adults of all abilities, we particularly welcome beginners so no need to be nervous, we have all been there! Whether you have never touched clay before or have experience and want to develop your skills or just work more independently, our classes are perfect for you! Minimum age is 16, no upper age limit!
There is no need to commit to attending every week or to a minimum number of classes, and you are free to change class days and times to fit in with your busy schedule! Whether you live on the Costa del Sol, visit regularly or are here on holiday, our flexible approach to classes is designed to work for you. Scroll down for timetable and prices.
We limit our classes to a maximum of 10 students, allowing time for individual attention so everyone can advance their skills at their own pace, because we recognise that each student's abilities, goals and needs are unique. We don't add more than 2 beginners to any one class, so if you are a new group of 3 or more people please contact us to arrange a private studio hire for your first few classes.
Classes are 2½ hours long and include self-service hot drinks and biscuits!
The last 15 minutes of each class are reserved exclusively for storing your work and carefully cleaning all tools and work surfaces used, to leave everything as you would like to find it!

"Pay as you go" single class: €33
Pack of 4 classes: €120
Pack of 12 classes €330
The class fee includes:
- Shared tuition
- Clay (white earthenware)
- Use of all studio tools and equipment
- Over 20 dipping glazes
- 20 colours of "Stroke & Coat" brush-on glazes
- Use of the potter's wheel for students who can already throw independently.
- The class fee does not include the firing fee, see below.
Firing Fee:
A firing fee of €6/kg (fired weight) applies to all work. The firing fee assumes a maximum of 2 firings. Each additional firing is subject to a re-fire fee of €3.00/kg.
Additional costs:
We supply everything you need but some students choose to branch out and purchase their own tools and additional glazes, so do bear in mind not everything you see in the studio or on our social media is decorated with studio glazes. We can order glazes and supply them to our students at cost price including the shipping fee.
Loyalty Card:
All students receive a loyalty card to present for validation at each class attended. When full (12 stamps) the card can be exchanged for a free class!
Please note the classes are personal to you and can not be shared with or transferred to anyone else.
